Bryan White - Shine

Raising close to $35,000 on Kickstarter enabled Bryan White to release his first new album in almost five years. This project is a true labor of love for him. This is the seventh album for this handsome native of Lawton/Fort Sill, Oklahoma whose talent quotient is set to max. He has enjoyed a successful career for nearly two decades and regardless of which hat he may be wearing, be it producer, songwriter, or singer well, the end result, quite simply, allows him to Shine.
He has had seventeen singles on Billboard's Country Charts, six number one singles, two platinum records, two gold records, and who can forget “From This Moment On” when he joined forces with the dynamic beauty, Shania Twain. He has been awarded a Grammy, a CMA Horizon Award, the ACM Top Male Vocalist award, and People magazine named him one of their “fifty most beautiful people”. What you may not know is that his songwriting abilities helped put some of his famous peers on the charts. Sawyer Brown and Diamond Rio both made it to the top five slot with songs co-written by White and several other artists have recorded songs he's written; Wynonna, Love and Theft, and LeAnn Rimes, among them.
White says he has always been grateful for all he’s been given throughout the years but now looking back in retrospect, he is more grateful than he’s ever been before. He says that taking a career break allowed him to concentrate on his marriage to his beautiful wife, actress Erika Page White, and his two sons, Justin and Jackson. *“I found my true identity, not only as an artist and a songwriter, but as a human being. I realize now that life is an incredible gift and it’s meant to be lived on purpose and outwardly. Music is a gift and a great vehicle but it’s really about what happens beyond the music for me. What kind of legacy did I leave as a husband, as a father, and a friend?”
I'll let the fans be the final judge of the album. For me, personally, although I enjoyed the music and the engaging lyrics, I'm not sure all of the songs will easily fall under the country music umbrella. Having said that, I do think all of the songs are radio friendly and since he has such a devoted fan base, his songs should effortlessly find their way to the air waves. As for what kind of legacy White will leave us, well, after following his career for almost two decades and getting to know him as a person, I'm certain it will be, without a doubt, an honorable one.
