LoCash Cowboys - Kleman Plaza-Tallahassee Florida
Review by Connie Breeden, Editor/Owner
This weekend I traveled to Tallahassee, with some friends for a much needed getaway. After arriving at the hotel they told me they had a surprise for me. So we jumped in the car and headed down to the springtime festival and outdoor concert down at Kleman Plaza.
I sat down in the grass in front of the stage with my friends and the first thing I noticed was the drum set that belongs to David Parks the drummer for LoCash Cowboys. Wow, what a surprise it was and I was happy to catch up Chris Lucas and Preston Brust before they went on stage. They told me they were excited about the new album and their first single, "Chase A little Love", which will be hitting radio stations this month. It is already being called a sexy, fun-loving, summertime anthem. I had no intention of writing a concert review, I mean, after all, this was a mini vacation for me, but after talking with them for a few minutes, I knew I had to write something. Plus it's no secret that I am really fond of these guys.
Lucas and Brust are the newest edition to Average Joes Entertainment but they are, by far, not your average Joes. Performing before thousands without a set play-list, they entertained the Seminoles country fans for nearly hour and a half, in the blazing Florida sun, without skipping a beat. They sang all of the fan favorites and even some new ones, from their long awaited debut album which is due out in the stores this summer. "We are so excited about getting out there with our new music and seeing all the LoCash lunatics enjoying it as much as we do", said Lucas.
Not only are they phenomenal entertainers and singers, but they are talented songwriters as well. In 2012 they celebrated success by writing their first, gold certified single, "Truck Yeah", which was recorded by superstar Tim McGraw. They also wrote "You Gonna Fly"which became a number one hit for another country superstar, Keith Urban.
On stage Brust and Lucas are like watching a cowboy on a bronc take that eight second ride. The energy and the excitement these guys have is nothing short of amazing and they never seem to get tired of interacting with their fans. They run out in the audience and randomly select fans to sing with them and it sure makes them feel like they are part of theshow. It's crazy good! The LoCash fans call themselves the LoCash Lunatics because they can't get enough of these guys and their music. If you have never heard of them, or seen them in concert before, you are missing out. Once you see them perform, and meet them, you will understand why they are so easy to love.
It was a pleasant surprise when they brought out Nashville singer/songwriter Brian White, best known for co-writing with Rodney Atkins on the hit song, " Watching You". They let him sing a couple up-tempo songs before slowing it down with "Best Seat In The House", a real tear jerker which had everyone, including me, wiping away the tears. Next they moved on to their more upbeat "Hey Hey Hey", which just happens to be one of my favorite songs, before closing their show with another fan favorite, "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y".
As we made our way to the car, I was feeling so happy that I had let my friends talk me into going to Tallahassee with them and even happier I got to see the LoCash Cowboys again. In fact, I've seen them often enough that I'm pretty sure I qualify as an official LoCash Lunatic.
